The scenic vista of the Italian landscape provides the backdrop for the seventh season of Mmm… Sedapnya Bersama Ayamas TV cook show series.
Hosted by celebrity Chef Wan, the show premiered on air on Monday, 26th April at 5.30pm and will be aired weekly until 19th July over TV3; with reruns at 8.30pm, Saturdays from 24th July to 16th October. All 13 episodes of the half-hour weekly series were shot entirely on locations in Italy during spring and filmed in different scenic locations.
In each episode of the new series Chef Wan shows two simple and easy to cook new recipes he has created using Ayamas chilled chicken, further processed or canned chicken products such as Ayamas Tom Yam Crispy Fried Chicken, Ayamas Meatloaf and Ayamas Minced Chicken Meat.
Inspired in part by the Italian cuisine, some of the new recipes in this series include Spaghetti Bolognaise Ayamas, Chicken “Rendang” and Frankfurters Pizza and Penne Pasta “Puttanesca”.
There are 26 new recipes designed for a fully day’s meal set, including breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as snacks.
“We are coming up with exciting new products all the time,” said Tuan haji Jamaludin Md Ali, Managing director of KFC Holding (Malaysia) Bhd, the operator of Ayamas, in Kuala Lumpur today.
“Through the cook show TV series we hope to create greater awareness of our new products and show how they can add zest to our meals.
Past episodes of the Mmm… Sedapnya Bersama Ayamas TV cook show series were shot in Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bali.
“When you mix the delicious taste of Italian cuisine with the top quality Ayamas products you get a show that is a must watch for everyone.”
“Not only that, viewers will also get to learn about the culture, traditions and people of Italy – all from the comfort of your living room.”
“We expect the sales of further processed products to have an increment of between 20 – 25% as compared to the previous year for the months of April to October,” he added.
Ayamas has spent more than RM 1 million on production and media buying for the new show.
